Large Scale Commercial Systems
On large scale commercial refrigeration installations, as with smaller systems, we carry out full control and monitoring solutions. As part of this we offer a full 24hour 365(6) day service backup. Contact our service and maintenance department for more details.

We offer peripheral components as options to improve the COP of systems and to give clients the very best in return for investment. Components such as Plate Heat Exchangers to recover waste heat and in turn provide ‘free’ heating to heat hot water supply systems can be incorporated.

We can fit variable speed controls to condenser fans to enable optimum head pressure control and also to reduce electrical energy consumption. Other devices such as electronic expansion valves, EC fan motors and smart controls can be utilised to improve overall performance.

Split Systems
A standard back-to-back split system installation will tend to be cheaper and quicker to install and is ideal for the cooling and heating of one area. Split systems come in a variety of different styles and models such as wall mounted, floor mounted, ceiling mounted and ducted. Our engineers are approved installers for a variety of manufacturers and are competent in installing all types of air conditioning.

Ducted Systems
Most home ducted systems are in the form of split ducted systems which are slightly more expensive to install but offer the benefit of being a discreet and engineered package.

Air conditioning is a system based on the precise control of temperature, humidity, air flow and air purity. Split-system air conditioners regulate these elements around the clock to provide you with a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, day and night, year after year.

Cooling Mode
Excess heat in a room is absorbed by a special liquid called a refrigerant sealed within the system. As the refrigerant in the indoor unit absorbs heat, it changes into a gas due to its low boiling point and is carried through small, copper tubes to an outdoor unit which releases heat from the warm gas into the atmosphere. The gas condenses back into acooled liquid and flows back to the indoor unit where a fanned unit blows air across the cooled indoor unit, bringing fresh cool air into the room. A filter on the fan unit ensures the air is clean. The cycle then repeats itself. Most systems have an automatic cut-off device which activates when the desired temperature in the room is reached.

Heating Mode
Heat pump units allow the cooling cycle to be reversed. A heat pump extracts "free" heat from the outdoor air, even on the coldest days when the temperature may fall as low as -10° C, and transfers the heat indoors. Heat pump units therefore avoid the need for a boiler and allow you to cool and heat with the same unit, with savings in costs and energy throughout the year.

In summer, the heat pump extracts heat from the warm air in the building and pumps it outside. Your room stays comfortable and cool. In winter this happens in reverse. Natural heat in the outdoor air - even when its freezing - is extracted and moved indoors.
